The Adidas x Marinoni bike we did, recently was on display at the O store on Queen St. Looks mighty good. Next month: Off to Montreal. Keep posted to learn how you can bid on this baby.
Early this morning our friend Rob passed away, this is by and far one of the hardest things we can imagine going through. Rob was an amazing person, a great friend and you would be fortunate to have ever seen him on a board. The guy made everything fun and inspiring, there’s no other way to describe it.
Our love goes out to Rob’s family and friends, you’ll never be forgotten Rob.

Recently we worked with Marinoni Cycles in Montreal to produce a one-of-a-kind track bike. The bike was made to help commemorate the opening of adidas’ Montreal Originals Store for which we did the all the creative treatment for the event, think late-70’s olympics with a few twists thrown in. The belle of the ball was the bike though, and it will be on display at Originals stores in Canada starting in September so make sure to check the one nearest you for it. The bike will be auctioned off on ebay at the end of it’s run, so stay tuned to us and the following sites for info on that.
So today’s the day, adidas Canada officially launches its Canadian skateboard program.
We’ve been working on the program for a few months now, and we’re really excited about it, it’s been hard work and many a sleepless night, but this is only the start. We’ve put together a great team for a great company who’s been backing skateboarding for years.
Mitch Charron, Wojtek Zawada, Mike McCourt, Rob Piontek, Sam Klassen & Mike Vince join Mark Gonzales, Dennis Busenitz & Tim O’Connor as well as the rest of the ams over at adidas skateboarding. We took Rob Piontek and Mike McCourt over to an adidas lunch & learn session where they were able to see the upcoming line, including the O’Connor pro shoe.
After the session at adidas we headed out to grab some gelato and wings—an interesting combo for sure—Rob ate enough Armageddon sauce to kill an elephant. Pictures coming later today below.
